Job summary

FryerMiles is seeking talented AI Engineers for an on-site role in Newcastle to design and deliver AI/ML solutions. You will work across LLMs, RAG, NLP, Computer Vision and agent-based systems, building robust Python software and collaborating with engineers and customers on real-world problems.

The position requires strong Python skills, a deep understanding of AI/ML concepts, and hands-on experience delivering AI projects, with a degree in a relevant technical discipline.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and software engineering skills.
• Solid understanding of core AI and Machine Learning concepts.
• Hands-on experience developing and delivering AI/ML solutions.
• Good understanding of how AI/ML models work, rather than simply using pre-built models as black-box components.
• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Machine Learning or another relevant technical discipline.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

AI Engineers - Newcastle - £60,000 to £120,000 per year DOE -On-site

We are delighted to be working with a leading technology consultancy that is expanding its specialist AI and engineering team.

We are looking for talented Software Engineers with strong hands-on experience across Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. We are open to candidates with different areas of expertise, including Machine Learning, Applied AI, Generative AI, LLMs, RAG and Agentic AI.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Ability to obtain appropriate UK security clearance where required.
• Willingness to work from the company's North East office and travel to customer sites when required.
