Job summary

OpenAI is hiring an Applied AI Architect for Education in London. You will be the senior technical owner for a portfolio of education customers, shaping AI strategy and guiding adoption from discovery to production value.

You will own the technical account plan, collaborate with Account Directors, and translate institutional priorities into actionable use cases and adoption roadmaps, ensuring responsible, measurable impact.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in customer-facing technical roles such as solutions architecture or technical account leadership.
• Proven ability to guide complex organizations from evaluation through production adoption and measurable value.
• Strong software and cloud architecture foundations including APIs, distributed systems, data integration, identity, security, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical advisor and long-term technical relationship owner for a named portfolio of education customers.
• Own the technical account plan, milestones, adoption priorities, and value realization path.
• Lead discovery with institutional leaders to identify and prioritise use cases with measurable objectives.
• Translate priorities into applied AI architectures spanning models, data, security, governance, and deployment.
• Guide institutions through evaluations, demonstrations, workshops, and proofs of value.
• Track adoption, account health, and production readiness to ensure value realization.
• Build trusted relationships with CIOs, deans, researchers, and administrators.
