Job Description

As an Application Support Engineer, you will join our UK Lifecycle Services group supporting customers through a blend of upgrades, application deployments, and maintenance activities on their DeltaV DCS/SIS.

You will primarily engage our customers within a region of the UK, including offshore installations, to build relationships and become their trusted adviser.

Responsibilities:
  1. Project Execution – responsible for design, installation, and commissioning of project deliverables.
  2. Customer Support – assist customers in resolving product and application issues, and coordinate support from the Global Support Centre as needed.
  3. Sales Support – assist with proposals, site surveys, product demonstrations, and guidance on product application and after-sales service. Identify and pursue service and product opportunities proactively.
  4. Field Service – support LTSA contract activities, including maintenance, DeltaV system administration, and health checks. Be available for 24/7 emergency response as part of the on-call rota.
  5. Safety Systems – perform maintenance and repairs on DeltaV systems.
Who You Are:

You are proactive, able to manage your own time, and have a keen eye for future policies, market trends, and competitive practices. You communicate effectively with diverse teams and serve as a strategic partner to build lasting relationships with key accounts.

Requirements:
  • Self-motivated and proactive with good time management skills.
  • Experience with computer, network, and control system architectures, including Virtualization.
  • Experience installing Windows OS and applications.
  • Knowledge of DeltaV products or similar DCS systems.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing project documentation.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort in customer interactions.
  • Basic knowledge of control system configuration and graphic modifications.
  • Understanding of third-party interfaces like OPC, Modbus, Profibus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fluent English, as most client interactions are in English.
