Job Summary

The purpose of this position is to carry out Master Systems Integration of building management systems (BMS), build control databases, engineer user interfaces, and set-up control systems based on project specifications and/or sales proposals. Provides on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers. Performs field startup and system commissioning tasks as well as remote software and control program installation.

Delivering projects on a global scale for large enterprise clients using industry-leading technologies and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Create programming logic using flow diagrams, sequences of operation, panel layouts, termination details, and project specifications or sales proposals.
• Program control applications using various software tools supporting operator workstations, DDC field panels, and third-party devices connected through multiple communication protocols.
• Perform job site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications to verify proper operation according to specifications and design documentation.
• Develop system graphical user interfaces per project specifications or sales proposals.
• Act as the technical liaison between owner/construction managers.
• Deliver on-site customer operator training on system use.
• Perform system analysis and diagnostics, and determine corrective actions.
• Coordinate system installation with contractors at the job site.
• Conduct final walkthroughs with owners and construction managers to ensure all punch list items are completed and receive signoff of substantial completion.
• Complete projects according to schedule and within budget.
• Identify new business opportunities through memberships, publications, and industry awareness.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in HVAC, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Preferably experience with Tridium Niagara and TCP.
• Knowledge of HVAC, BMS, and BMS commissioning.
• Experience in BMS programming, user interface engineering, and analytics.
• Proficiency with Windows-based computers and applications like MS Word and Excel.
• Experience with control and HVAC systems terminology.
