Job summary

A leading London-based insurer is seeking a Perm Application Support Analyst for a hybrid role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1st and 2nd line support, ensuring tickets are managed and closed efficiently, and working with various stakeholders. This role involves SQL configuration changes and requires experience within the financial services sector, particularly insurance.

Qualifications

Job description

KEY SKILLS:

  • Some SQL or other Database scripting language skills

THE ROLE:

You will be providing 1st & 2nd line support for internal and external users' requests, ensuring tickets raised are managed and closed effectively to the customers’ satisfaction and SLA’s are met. You will escalate tickets to relevant teams as necessary, track the resolution, and ensure all stakeholders are kept informed. You will carry out SQL configuration changes, run queries to assist in troubleshooting, produce reports on Service Desk statistics, and update and maintain documents and procedures.

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will be a customer-focused 1st / 2nd Line Application Support SME with experience in the financial services sector (preferably insurance), possessing excellent communication skills. You should have a keen interest in cloud-based technologies, experience with ITIL framework and JIRA Service Desk, and the ability to assess, prioritize, and manage demand. You should be able to work effectively independently and as part of a small team. Technical experience with User management tools, SQL or other database scripting languages (preferable), and PowerBI is ideal.
