Job summary

Nordic Healthcare Group (NHG) is hiring an Application Portfolio Management Analyst I to support planning, budgeting, intake, deployment, and retirement of applications. The role emphasizes inventory management, rationalization, and data retention to meet regulatory standards.

You will work on upgrades, security patches, and documentation while coordinating with vendors and internal teams. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, engineering, healthcare informatics, computer sciences or related field.
• 8+ years in healthcare IT or equivalent IT application analyst position with degree requirement.
• Experience in ITIL-aligned service management processes (Incident, Request, Change).
• Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience in managing application support and documentation as part of a team.
• Understanding of application portfolio management methodologies and frameworks.
• Experience with application lifecycle management from inception to retirement.

Responsibilities

• Tracks software applications and assets using inventory tools.
• Assesses new applications against requirements and capabilities.
• Identifies overlapping functionalities for rationalization.
• Decommissions outdated or underperforming apps with data integrity and compliance.
• Migrates historical data from legacy apps or archives for compliance.
• Ensures regulatory and industry standards in application management.
• Maintains architecture docs and dependency maps for disaster recovery and security.
• Leads small analyst-led projects and coordinates status updates.
• Maintains relationships with software vendors to ensure support.
