Job summary
Finning (UK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to deliver engineering expertise across the full project lifecycle, from bid development through installation sign-off. The role supports design, integration and delivery of Caterpillar engine packages for industrial customers.
You will work closely with Sales, OEM engineering, Caterpillar and customers to develop robust solutions, manage a portfolio of accounts and lead technical discussions to ensure on-time project delivery with
Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent industry experience.
- Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge.
- Experience with engine installations and OEM integration.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical application support for sales opportunities and bids.
- Collaborate with Sales, OEM engineering, Caterpillar and internal teams to develop solutions.
- Lead technical discussions and manage multiple projects end‑to‑end.
- Review drawings, ensure compliance and technical integrity.
- Undertake site audits, testing and commissioning support as needed.
- Maintain documentation including BOMs, calculations and installation instructions.
