Job summary

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays is seeking an proactive AOG Buyer to join our Engineering Purchasing Team. You will source critical aerospace components quickly to resolve defects and keep the fleet moving, working closely with Maintenance Control and Stores.

We expect proven purchasing experience in aerospace, plus strong negotiation skills and hands-on operational insight. After training, you’ll rotate on a 4 on 4 off days/nights schedule, with benefits including a contributory pension and career

Qualifications

Proven purchasing experience, preferably in aerospace.
Experience within logistics/materials support.
Strong negotiation skills with understanding of market conditions.
Technical and commercial insight with an operational, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

Support Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and ADDs with timely sourcing of materials.
Ensure materials are sourced and delivered within required time frames.
Develop supplier plans focusing on performance, communication, and conflict management.
Manage orders, quotes, and contracts to minimize cost and maximize availability of components.
Report progress and identify improvements within the team.
