Job summary

MTS Recruitment Ltd. is seeking an experienced B1 AOG Licensed Engineer to support line maintenance and AOG activities at Stansted. The role covers base and AOG work with travel to respond to events and a 7-on, 7-off shift pattern.

You will certify line and AOG maintenance, manage resources, and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and quality across all tasks while delivering professional service to aircraft owners and operators.

Qualifications

• Full unrestricted UK CAA B1 Aircraft Maintenance Licence.
• Current aircraft type ratings relevant to operation.
• Engine ground-run approval.
• Recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship.
• Previous line maintenance and AOG experience.
• Ability and willingness to travel at short notice.
• Strong leadership and resource-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organised and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional appearance and strong customer-facing skills.
• A B2 licence may also be considered where the engineer holds the required electrical privileges.

Responsibilities

• Carry out and certify line and AOG maintenance within your licence privileges and company approvals.
• Respond to AOG requirements and travel at short notice when required.
• Manage maintenance inputs, available resources and associated projects.
• Ensure all work complies with regulatory, safety, quality and company standards.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and the internal maintenance team.
• Ensure work remains within the capabilities of the MOE and state-of-registry requirements.
• Maintain responsibility for the AOG response vehicle, including its equipment, stock levels, replenishment and appearance.
• Support base maintenance activities when not deployed.
• Identify and report operational risks and hazards.
• Promote and maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and customer service.
• Provide leadership and direction to employees working within your area of responsibility.
