Job summary

APCOA Parking is seeking an Operational Service Technician to monitor and maintain ANPR infrastructure across Midlands sites, deliver first-line fault resolution, and support continuous improvement of the operational technology estate.

You will perform site visits, analyse system performance, and prepare operational and commercial reports while collaborating with internal teams and external partners. A UK driving licence and willingness to travel are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with operational technology, CCTV, ANPR, or related systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Proven analytical and reporting abilities.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ANPR assets and infrastructure daily for optimal performance.
• Identify issues, performance degradation, and communication failures.
• Respond to faults and incidents; provide first-line support on site.
• Coordinate with engineers or suppliers for complex repairs.
• Maintain incident and site visit records.
• Assist in developing dashboards and KPIs to monitor service performance.
• Support deployment and commissioning of new assets.
• Carry out preventative maintenance visits.
• Contribute to continuous improvement to increase reliability.
