Job summary

APCOA PARKING UK is seeking an Operational Service Technician to monitor, maintain and provide first‑line support for the ANPR infrastructure across Midlands sites, including University of Warwick, Loughborough University, CBS Arena and Utilita Arena Birmingham. You will diagnose faults, analyse system performance, and produce operational reports.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting operational technology, CCTV, ANPR, networking, or similar systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Customer-focused with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor ANPR assets and infrastructure daily to ensure optimum performance.
• Proactively identify equipment issues and degradation.
• Monitor system health dashboards and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure assets meet agreed service availability and performance targets.
• Identify recurring faults and recommend preventative actions.
• Attend sites to provide first-line diagnostics and fault resolution.
• Coordinate with engineers or third-party suppliers for complex repairs.
• Maintain records of incidents and site visits.
• Assist in developing dashboards and KPIs to monitor service performance.
• Support deployment and commissioning of new ANPR assets.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits to sites.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
