Job summary

GSA Techsource is seeking a talented 2D Animator for the iGaming space. You’ll create engaging slot-game animations, rigging and using Spine to bring characters and symbols to life, while collaborating with artists and developers to fit production pipelines.

Hybrid role in the North West with salary up to £40k, plus 25 days holiday, pension and a supportive studio environment. Candidates from Junior to Senior levels are welcome, with a strong eye for detail and knowledge of Spine essential.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating 2D animation in games.
• Strong knowledge of Spine and rigging workflows.
• Experience with animation pipelines for mobile/iGaming projects.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging 2D animations for slot games and features.
• Rig, animate and develop characters and game assets using Spine.
• Collaborate with artists and developers to ensure technical fit for implementation.
• Animate characters, symbols, UI elements and other in‑game assets.
• Keep animations polished, optimized and production-ready.
• Maintain a consistent visual and animation style across the project.

Are you a 2D Animator with experience using Spine and looking for your next opportunity in the iGaming space?

We’re working with an established igaming studio looking for a talented 2D Animator to join their creative team. They’re open to candidates across Junior, Midweight and Senior levels, but the key requirement is strong knowledge and hands‑on experience with Spine.

You’ll be creating engaging, high-quality animations for slot games, working closely with artists, designers and developers to bring characters, symbols and game features to life.

Key Responsibilities

• Create engaging 2D animations for slot games and game features
• Use Spine to rig, animate and develop character and game animations
• Work closely with artists and developers to ensure animations are technically suitable for implementation
• Animate characters, symbols, UI elements and other in‑game assets
• Help bring concepts and static artwork to life through expressive, polished animation
• Ensure animations are optimised and production‑ready
• Collaborate with the wider creative team to maintain a consistent visual and animation style

What We’re Looking For

• Professional experience in 2D animation, ideally within iGaming, mobile or gaming
• Hands‑on experience and strong knowledge of Spine is essential
• Understanding of 2D animation principles, rigging and animation workflows
• Experience working with game assets and animation pipelines
• Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite would be beneficial
• A creative, collaborative approach with a strong eye for detail
• Candidates considered from Junior through to Senior level
