United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an Android-focused Software Engineer II to join our fast-growing mobile team. This role supports a remote-first model with periodic in-person gatherings in Oxford or London, UK, and requires collaboration across global engineering groups.

You’ll work on Android systems with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL, contributing to a modular MVVM architecture while occasionally tackling backend microservices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience developing an Android app.
• Familiarity with mobile web and back-end technologies beneficial.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Code! Write and maintain high-quality Android code.
• Touch code at every level, including backend microservices when needed.
• Collaborate closely with Product and design teams to define feature specifications.
• Take ownership of all aspects of software engineering from design to deployment and maintenance.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups across the globe.
