Job summary

Oliver Bernard in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join a leading consumer technology company. You will develop and enhance Android apps using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, shape mobile platform architecture, and take ownership from development to release.

You will collaborate with Product, Design and Engineering, maintain code quality, and mentor peers. Hybrid role with 2 days per week in the office.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of Kotlin.
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Good understanding of Android architecture and software engineering principles.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working through the full development lifecycle.
• Experience working collaboratively within a product-focused engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Help shape the technical direction and architecture of the mobile platform.
• Take ownership of features from initial development through to release.
• Work closely with Product, Design and Engineering stakeholders.
• Champion code quality, testing and scalable engineering practices.
• Share knowledge and support the development of other engineers.
