Tripadvisor Experiences is seeking a Software Engineer II (Android) to join our mobile team. The role is open to candidates within 1–2 hours of Oxford or London with a remote-first approach and periodic in-person gatherings.

You will work on Android systems using Kotlin, Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, and GraphQL in a MVVM architecture, collaborating with product and design to deliver high-quality features.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Experience with Android app development.
• Familiarity with mobile web and back-end technologies.
• Proficiency in reactive programming on native mobile platforms.
• Strong verbal and written communication; sense of ownership.

Responsibilities

• Write code and contribute to development across the stack.
• Touch code at all levels; backend microservices opportunities.
• Collaborate with Product and design to define feature specs and deliverables.
• Take responsibility for all aspects of software engineering from design to QA to maintenance.
• Coordinate with other engineering groups around the world.
