Job summary

Vanderlande Industries United Kingdom Ltd is seeking an Analytics Team Leader to guide a team of analysts and collaborate with operations, engineering, and stakeholders across the business. You will build datasets, reports and insights to inform decisions and enable safe growth of our contract performance.

You will lead by example, motivate the team, and maintain an inspiring environment to meet organisational goals and service KPIs in partnership with Heathrow.

Qualifications

• Understanding of data analytics with familiarity in extract (SQL), transform (Python / R) and load pipelines
• Experience in data visualisation and associated tools
• Understanding and experience in statistical analysis
• Strategic stakeholder management: translate vague requests into concrete technical requirements and present findings to senior leadership
• Insight delivery & storytelling: deliver predictive insights with commercial value
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire team members with line management experience
• Proficiency in performance management and reporting
• Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload ensuring deadlines are met
• Deep experience operating LHR baggage systems (preferred)
• Experience in service/operations with exposure to performance metrics and outsourced contract delivery

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day team activities, establishing goals aligned with organisational objectives
• Lead performance for Vanderlande in our Strategic Partnership with Heathrow focusing on Service KPIs
• Oversee daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and issues resolved quickly
• Motivate and engage team members, recognising high performance
• Identify training needs and support development of team skills
• Address and resolve internal team issues or conflicts
• Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives
• Attend customer meetings representing the team and organisation
