Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a technically strong Analytics Implementation Engineer to translate measurement requirements into precise data layer specifications and consent-aware tracking for high-traffic retail platforms. You’ll collaborate with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Marketing to implement data layer specs and manage tags using Tealium iQ and Tealium EventStream.

You will write reusable JavaScript, configure Adobe Analytics, and validate end-to-end tracking while ensuring data quality

Qualifications

• Strong JavaScript skills: reading, writing, debugging.
• Experience translating measurement requirements into data layer specifications.
• Hands-on tracking implementation with an analytics platform (e.g., Adobe Analytics).
• Experience with a tag management platform (Tealium iQ or Google Tag Manager).
• Familiarity with consent-aware tracking and modern web/mobile data collection.

Responsibilities

• Translate measurement requirements into data layer specifications.
• Work with Engineering to implement data layer specs.
• Configure client-side and server-side tags in Tealium iQ and Tealium EventStream.
• Write and maintain reusable JavaScript.
• Configure Adobe Analytics eVars, props, events, and SDR.
• Validate consent-aware tracking end-to-end.
• Investigate tracking defects and data quality issues.
• Participate in peer reviews of tracking changes and code.
