Job summary

ASOS is seeking a Digital Analytics Engineer to shape how the business understands customer behaviour across our digital estate. You’ll unite analytics engineering, behavioural data modelling and close partnership with product and engineering teams to ensure data is well designed, observable and trusted for high-quality experiments at scale.

Qualifications

• Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or product analytics.
• Strong SQL and experience with Databricks, Spark, DBT and Python.
• Solid understanding of behavioural and event-based data modelling.
• Hands-on experience with product analytics platforms (e.g. Mixpanel, Adobe Analytics).
• Experience building reliable data pipelines and quality controls.
• Collaborates with software engineers on data instrumentation.
• Detail-oriented approach to data quality.

Responsibilities

• Own behavioural data modelling and build core models in Databricks for web and app.
• Design and maintain session logic, funnels, attribution, feature usage, and experiment datasets.
• Create domain-specific data marts for analytics and experimentation.
• Own the quality of behavioural events flowing into analytics platforms.
• Ensure event schemas, naming, data types and privacy compliance.
• Build and maintain transformation pipelines for enrichment/standardisation.
• Act as technical owner of event contracts between frontend and analytics.
• Implement end-to-end data quality checks and monitor schema changes and data completeness.
• Enable trusted metrics via Databricks views and Power BI models.
