Job summary

Pharmaron in Hoddesdon, UK, is seeking a Senior Scientist in Analytical Chemistry with strong HPLC expertise. You will develop and validate analytical methods for starting materials, intermediates and APIs, and troubleshoot challenging separations.

You will work within a GMP environment, collaborating with Process Chemistry to support early API development and scale-up. A PhD or equivalent experience is required, with extensive HPLC/ UHPLC, NMR and GC technique experience.

Qualifications

• PhD in Analytical Chemistry or related field, or a BSc with several years of relevant analytical lab experience.
• Significant expertise in developing and troubleshooting HPLC methods.
• Hands-on knowledge of SFC and/or GCA with current analytical techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop, troubleshoot and validate HPLC methods for APIs, starting materials and intermediates.
• Work within GMP laboratory to meet project deadlines.
• Collaborate with Process Chemistry to support scale-up and tech transfer.
• Present scientific findings to clients and internal teams.
