Job summary

Vanrath is seeking a hands-on technician in Northern Ireland for a role in analytical instrumentation. The position involves assembling, testing, and troubleshooting analysers, with soldering and light mechanical tasks as part of daily duties.

You will participate in quality inspections, document results, and support continuous improvement while adhering to safety and environmental procedures. A minimum of two years in a technical or manufacturing environment is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical or manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of electronic circuits, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Familiarity with assembly processes, soldering, and quality inspection.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Effective communicator with a proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing on products and document results accurately.
• Assemble products and sub-assemblies, including light mechanical tasks and soldering.
• Troubleshoot analyzers to component level, identifying and resolving issues efficiently.
• Inspect incoming components to ensure quality standards are met.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by documenting and raising engineering change requests.
• Follow safety, quality, and environmental procedures to uphold high standards.
