Job summary

VANRATH is seeking a General Maintenance Technician in Belfast, Northern Ireland. You will provide planned and reactive maintenance across a portfolio of sites, handling joinery, fabric repairs, and general maintenance tasks while coordinating with subcontractors.

You should have NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent, a full driving licence, and strong IT skills. A proactive, hands-on trades background and clear communication are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must-have NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or equivalent and full driving licence.
• Experience in building fabric maintenance tasks and Hands-on trades experience.
• Good IT skills with MS Office proficiency.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Multiskilled trade experience with practical execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, ensuring high standards.
• Respond promptly to Helpdesk requests and prioritise tasks to meet timescales.
• Carry out building fabric maintenance: joinery, walls, floors, doors, and inspections.
• Assist with roofing, guttering, tiling, minor painting and general upkeep.
• Support plumbing and drainage repairs as first-line responder.
• Prepare accurate reports, logs, asset registers and tagging.
• Coordinate with third-party contractors for specialist repairs on-site.
