Job summary

Croda is offering an Industrial Placement Student position at Cowick Hall, East Yorkshire for 12 months starting August 2027. You will work in analytical research and development with the Functional Ingredients Synthesis team, developing spectroscopic and chromatographic test methods to screen new products and generate data.

Responsibilities include practical lab work, instrument operation (GC, TEA, HPLC RID), method development, and project planning.

Qualifications

Must have good laboratory skills and be able to communicate effectively in reports and verbally.
Self-motivated with ability to manage own workload.
Team work, attention to detail and good problem analysis skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

Practical analytical laboratory work, equipment maintenance and report writing.
Operate GC (FID & MS), TEA, and HPLC RID with full training provided.
Develop new and existing analytical test methods as required.
Liaise with Croda applications teams and external parties to accomplish analytical goals.
Plan and carry out your main university analytical project.
Adhere to site SHE procedures and COSHH risk assessments.
