Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking an Analyst Programmer at Grange Park 2, Northampton. You will support, design and develop solutions on AS400/iSeries platforms including WMi, Opus and ESPv8 in a role that blends development with operations support.

The position requires strong RPG IV/III, SQL/400 and SDLC knowledge, with a focus on delivering reliable systems under tight deadlines. Flexible remote work up to four days per week is provided within a permanent contract.

Qualifications

• A level in Mathematics, English and Science is required or preferred.
• Computer Science knowledge is highly preferable to work with RPG/AS400 systems.
• Experience with RPGIII/IV, ILE, RPG Free Format and SQL/400 is essential.
• Familiarity with SDLC and documenting specifications is expected.
• Ability to analyze and debug code and produce cost/benefit input is valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to in-house AS400/iSeries solutions.
• Evaluate customer needs and present costed options and documentation.
• Develop and modify RPG/SQL programs to meet operational objectives.
• Conduct unit, integration and user acceptance testing and troubleshoot.

This includes our warehouse management systems, WMi and Opus, and our transport management system, ESPv8.Key Responsibilities1. Supporta. Provide technical support to solutions which have been developed in-house on the AS400/iSeries platform.2. Solution Designa. Evaluate customer needs and requirements.b. Ensure that any issues with meeting expectations are communicated both within Yusen Logistics business and to the customer in a timely manner.3. Developmenta.
