Zusammenfassung

Element Deeside is seeking an experienced ANALYST for the Organics Department. You will prepare and analyse routine and non-routine samples using GC-FID and GC-MS in line with company methods and accreditation standards. Full training will be provided.

Based in Deeside, the role involves high-volume routine analysis, method development support and data reporting. The team values accuracy, reliability and timely delivery of results to clients worldwide.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Chemistry or a chemistry-related subject preferred.
• A-levels in Chemistry and other science or maths subjects.
• Experience in a commercial analytical laboratory is advantageous.
• Alternative qualifications considered depending on relevant experience.
• Highly motivated and organised; a team player.
• Positive attitude.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines.

Aufgaben

• Prepare standards for calibration and quality purposes.
• Conduct analysis and reporting of results to company methods.
• Control of instrument and method validation.
• Ensure all procedures comply with accreditation quality standards.
• Adhere to good laboratory practice and housekeeping.
• Calibrate instruments, perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Maintain stock levels and order consumables.
• Develop and document methods with senior staff.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
