Element Materials Technology Ltd. is seeking a Trainee Analyst/Analyst for the Organics Department at Deeside. You will prepare and analyse routine and non-routine samples using GC-FID and GC-MS, ensuring compliance with quality standards in an accredited lab.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Chemistry or a related subject preferred.
• A-levels in Chemistry and other science or maths subjects.
• Experience in a commercial analytical laboratory is advantageous.
• Alternative qualifications considered with relevant experience.
• Highly motivated, well organised, team player with good attention to detail.

• Preparing standards for calibration and quality purposes.
• Conducting analysis and reporting of results to company methods and procedures.
• Control of instrument and method validation.
• Ensuring adherence to accreditation quality standards.
• Following health and safety procedures.
• Instrument calibration, routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Prioritising workloads to meet deadlines.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder consumables.
• Development and documentation of methods with senior staff.
• Maintain good lab practice and housekeeping.
