Job summary

Trowers & Hamlins LLP is recruiting an AML & Conflicts Assistant to join the General Counsel and Risk team in Manchester. You will support client onboarding and compliance processes, ensuring AML and conflicts checks are completed accurately and efficiently.

Ideal candidates are graduates or have compliance experience, with strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Graduate, or someone with previous compliance experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
• Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
• Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
• Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
• Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
• Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues.
• Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
