Trowers & Hamlins in Manchester is seeking an AML & Conflicts Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract to join the Business Intake Team. You will support client onboarding and compliance processes, focusing on AML and conflicts checks with accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Graduate or someone with previous compliance experience.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and learning new systems.
• Positive, adaptable and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with AML checks and client due diligence reviews.
• Conduct client and matter research using screening tools and databases.
• Verify information submitted by fee earners and support staff.
• Respond to enquiries and provide guidance throughout the onboarding process.
• Carry out conflicts searches and identify potential issues.
• Support the wider Risk & Compliance Team with administrative and compliance-related tasks.
