Job summary

London Ambulance is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare ambulances for operational duty, plan readiness, and manage equipment at remote and satellite sites. You will collect and transport vehicles, retrieve hospital equipment, and promote infection control standards.

Pro-Cloud and iPad will be used to manage jobs and stock across locations. The role requires a current UK driving licence with few penalty points and the willingness to obtain a C1 category within six months.

Qualifications

• Current UK Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Provisional C1 category on driving licence; willing to obtain full C1 within 6 months.
• Good standard of written and verbal English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ambulances to the agreed standard for operational duty.
• Plan and prepare ambulances to meet strict deadlines and other operational requirements.
• Work at remote and satellite sites.
• Collect and transport vehicles between sites to support operations.
• Visit hospital sites to retrieve LAS equipment for crews.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles meet infection control standards.
• Use Pro-Cloud to receive jobs and scan equipment between locations.
• Input vehicle-ready information into Pro-Cloud.
• Drive Trust vehicles in accordance with procedures.
