Job summary

East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Fleet Vehicle Technician for Sherwood Park Workshop. You will service and repair ambulances and fast response vehicles, gaining experience on emergency service equipment.

The role requires a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Engineering qualification, with a C1 licence or plan to obtain it within nine months. Hours are 07:00–17:00 on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent.
• MOT testers certificate would be advantageous.
• Auto electrical skills would be an advantage.
• Be prepared to attain C1 licence within 9 months probation.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service ambulances, fast response vehicles and fleet equipment.
• Work on a range of vehicles including ambulances, minibuses, cars and support vehicles.
