Job summary

North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust seeks a Vehicle Technician to service, repair and maintain its ambulance fleet across petrol, diesel, hybrid and EVs. You will work in a modern workshop, developing skills and CPD under supportive management.

Applicants should have an recognised apprenticeship and NVQ/C&G Level 3, plus a full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement. Operational shifts include a ~12.5% uplift on base pay.

Qualifications

• Recognised apprenticeship in motor vehicle maintenance or equivalent experience.
• NVQ or C&G Level 3 qualifications required.
• Full UK driving licence with category C1 entitlement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure Trust vehicles are serviced, repaired and maintained to DVSA standards.
• Work in a modern workshop, developing CPD and progressing skill sets.
• Cover 365 days per year via rotating shifts with a salary uplift.
