Job summary

NHS Jobs in Sherwood Park is seeking a Fleet Vehicle Technician to service and repair ambulances and fast response vehicles, focusing on the specialised emergency equipment.

You should hold a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Engineering qualification, with at least one year post-training experience; an MOT tester certificate and auto electrical skills are advantageous.

A C1 driving licence or plan to obtain within nine months is required; hours are 07:00–17:00 on a rota including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

Fleet Vehicle Technician - Sherwood Park

The post will entail the servicing and mechanical repairs of Ambulances and Fast Response vehicles. It is an exciting opportunity to broaden your mechanical experience to work on the specialised equipment on emergency service vehicles. You should have an appropriate Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle Engineering or equivalent, with one years post training experience of working on vehicles of all types but in particular LCVs up to 7.5 tonnes would be advantageous. An MOT testers certificate and auto electrical skills would be an advantage. The applicant will need a C1 Driving Licence or be prepared to attain this within the 9 month probation period. The hours of work are 07:00 - 17:00 on a shift rota including weekends and Bank Holidays. For more details please see Job Description
