Job summary

EMED Group is seeking an Ambulance Fleet Assistant to support maintenance across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and surrounding bases. You will manage routine repairs, keep Fleetcheck updated, and support vehicle deep cleans while ensuring defects are resolved promptly.

The role requires practical mechanical skills, a valid UK driving licence with few penalty points, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach to meet targets in a regional setting.

Qualifications

• Hold a full UK manual driving licence with less than 6 penalty points.
• Experience of using practical and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities

• Repair, service and maintain equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Schedule and perform vehicle deep cleans with documentation.
• Ensure defects are promptly cleared with supporting documentation.
• Maintain stock of basic spare parts and report defects.
• Work safely complying with Health and COSHH regulations.
• Advise Fleet management if repair cannot be completed to spec.
• Report equipment incidents to Fleet management.
• Ensure vehicles for disposal are de-kitted and logged.
