Job summary

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Banstead is seeking Vehicle Maintenance Technicians to service and repair a diverse fleet of frontline vehicles. You will work with modern diagnostic tools and receive training across manufacturers, including EV systems and C1 licence support.

The role covers planned and reactive maintenance, MOT preparation, and repairs to electrical, hydraulic, welding, heating and air conditioning systems.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English required.
• BTEC / HNC level or City & Guilds level 3 and above.
• Must have a driving licence for C1 category with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Knowledge of operation of a fleet maintenance workshop.
• Ability to repair and maintain service vehicles with specialised bodywork/livery.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, inspecting and repairing ambulances, rapid response vehicles, 4x4s and support vehicles. Diagnosing faults with advanced diagnostic systems.
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing (Class IV and VII).
• Carrying out repairs involving electrical systems, welding and fabrication, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning.
