Job summary

South East Coast Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SECAmb) is recruiting a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to service and repair a fleet of ambulances and support vehicles at the Tangmere Make Ready Centre. You will work on a shift roster, with opportunities for training in manufacturer systems and EV technologies.

The role offers Band 5 pay (£32,073–£39,043 per annum), 37.5 hours per week, and benefits including 27 days annual leave and NHS staff discounts.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English are required.
• A recognised motor vehicle maintenance qualification (e.g., BTEC/HNC or City & Guilds Level 3) is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a diverse fleet of vehicles.
• Diagnose faults using advanced diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare vehicles for MOT testing (Class IV and VII).
• Repair electrical systems, welding, hydraulics, heating and air conditioning.
