Job summary

EMED Group is seeking Ambulance Care Assistants to join our team in Leicestershire. The role involves transporting elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to medical appointments and between facilities, in two-person crews or solo. A full UK driving licence and good physical fitness are essential.

Roles are full time (37.5 hrs/week) with a rota including weekends and shifts from 5am to midnight. Benefits include health, financial and support services as part of our care partner network.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK driving licence and be physically fit.
• Enhanced DBS check (company funded) will be required.
• Be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities.
• Lift, secure and assist service users in and out of the Ambulance.
• Transfer patients from beds to stretchers and assist with handovers to staff at treatment centres or to family at home.
• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy ambulance and provide compassionate care throughout transport.
