Job summary

EMED Group is seeking dedicated Ambulance Care Assistants for a full-time role based in Kibworth, Leicestershire. You will transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to appointments and between healthcare facilities, sometimes in two-person crews or solo, requiring a full UK driving licence and good fitness.

Hours are 37.5 per week on a rota including weekends, with shifts between 5am and midnight.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence
• Good degree of physical fitness
• Flexible shifts including weekends
• Pass Enhanced DBS check

Responsibilities

• Transport elderly, sick and vulnerable service users to and from medical appointments and between healthcare facilities
• Communicate effectively with patients and relatives to build rapport
• Assist with lifting, securing and helping service users in and out of the Ambulance
• Hand over patients to staff on arrival at treatment centres or to family at home
• Transfer patients between beds, stretchers and chairs as needed
• Maintain ambulance cleanliness and safety
