Job summary

Clayton Legal in Manchester is seeking a Conveyancing Assistant or Paralegal to join its Residential Conveyancing team based in North Manchester. You will support fee earners on a busy caseload from instruction through to completion.

The role suits someone with prior experience in residential conveyancing, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy property team. Full-time role offering long-term development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Conveyancing Assistant, Paralegal or Legal Assistant in Residential Conveyancing.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong communication skills dealing with clients and third parties.

Responsibilities

• Open new files and perform client onboarding and compliance checks.
• Prepare and issue contract packs and other legal documents.
• Order searches and review incoming documentation.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and third parties.
• Provide clients with progress updates throughout conveyancing.
• Assist with exchanges and completions and maintain case records.
• Support fee earners to ensure timely progression of files.
