Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. The successful candidate will support live projects, develop their commercial understanding, and progress towards becoming a Quantity Surveyor.

The role offers exposure to valuations, cost reporting, subcontractor management and change control. Candidates should have 1–3 years of experience, a construction or civil engineering background, and be working towards a Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management

Qualifications

Assistant QS with around 1-3 years' experience in construction.
Construction or civil engineering background.
Working towards a Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management qualification.

Responsibilities

Supporting the commercial management of live projects.
Preparing valuations and applications for payment.
Assisting with cost reporting and forecasting.
Subcontractor procurement and management.
Monitoring project costs and commercial performance.
Assisting with variations, compensation events and change control.
Supporting final accounts.
Producing commercial correspondence and maintaining project records.
Working closely with project teams to identify commercial risks and opportunities.
