Job summary

King’s College London is seeking an ambitious Alumni Volunteer Officer to develop our volunteering programme, grow opportunities for alumni to give back by sharing time, expertise and networks. You will lead flagship initiatives like the Leadership Mentoring Programme and Let’s Chat, and oversee King's Connect, our online alumni community with 45,000 members.

Qualifications

  • Experience in volunteer or alumni engagement in higher education or charity.
  • Proven project or event management experience.
  • Strong relationship-building with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing volunteers and mass engagement programs.
  • Ability to set objectives, budgets and KPIs; evaluate activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; confident public speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage flagship initiatives such as the Leadership Mentoring Programme and Let's Chat.
  • Lead King's Connect, our online alumni community with thousands of members.
  • Recruit, onboard and steward volunteers; manage reward/recognition schemes.
  • Cultivate strategic relationships to boost engagement with students and partners.
  • Support the 2027 Philanthropy & Alumni Engagement Campaign.
