We are seeking a passionate and inspiring leader to oversee our Future Choices programme and play a key role in the development of Alternative Provision at Right2Work. Both roles are based in Kendal, supporting adults, young people and children with SEND, SEMH and additional needs. This varied role combines leadership, programme development and hands‑on delivery. You will lead and support a small team, deliver engaging, person‑centred learning programmes, build effective relationships/partnerships with families, schools and external agencies, and create opportunities that help learners develop confidence, independence and positive future pathways. We’re looking for someone who is positive, proactive and committed to inclusion; a strong communicator and leader who believes in people’s potential and is passionate about helping learners overcome barriers and achieve meaningful outcomes.
Future Choices is a personal development programme for adults with SEND, helping learners develop the confidence, independence and life skills needed to achieve their goals and play an active role in their communities. Through practical, real‑life learning experiences, we support wellbeing, community participation, employability, self‑advocacy and personal growth, enabling learners to lead more independent and fulfilling lives.
Our Alternative Provision will support young people with SEMH, SEND and other barriers to education through personalised learning and a Preparing for Adulthood approach, helping learners re‑engage, build resilience and achieve positive outcomes. We will focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every young person is encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and skills for the future.
This is an opportunity to do far more than manage programmes. You will help shape futures, create opportunities, inspire confidence and enable children, young people and adults to achieve things they may never have thought possible. If you are an energetic, compassionate and ambitious leader who believes in the power of opportunity, inclusion and personal growth, we would love to hear from you.
We’ll use the information you share with us only for recruitment purposes, in line with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your details will be stored securely and kept only as long as needed.
An Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be required for the successful candidate. This will be funded by Right2Work, subject to terms and conditions.
