EK Outreach Services is a specialist provider of one‑to‑one teaching for students who are unable to access mainstream school environments due to medical, emotional, or learning difficulties. We work with students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing individualised support to meet their specific learning needs. As a trusted SEND provider, we offer tailored educational support to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve academic success. Our goal is to offer high‑quality education, giving students the tools and confidence to succeed despite the challenges they face in traditional educational settings. Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for qualified teachers (QTS required) who believe they have what it takes to lead our staff in an inclusive curriculum to help our students succeed. We are looking for a dynamic, fully qualified teacher grounded in modern pedagogy and tested teaching methods who can offer the very best teaching and learning to our pupils to ensure they achieve excellent outcomes and guide our staff to achieve these outcomes across our provision. The role is part‑time – three days in the office, with Wednesday dedicated to departmental meetings, and the advertised salary is pro‑rata (21,000 – 25,200 p/annum).

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students you directly work with and across the provision, ensuring equality and inclusivity of opportunity.
  • Work proactively and effectively in collaboration with learners, parents/careers, the leadership team and other staff for the benefit of our students.
  • Complete all relevant documentation to record and share the academic and personal development of your students.
  • Be responsible for registration, assessment, internal and external moderation, and coordination of all Language qualifications sat.
  • Implement, maintain and adjust the various Language curricula across the provision as needed.
  • Line‑manage the staff in your department, including their timetables, reviews, lesson observations and additional support.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience teaching.
  • Experience in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, French, Spanish, German, Japanese.
  • Previous experience as headteacher and/or exams/curriculum management.
  • Experience working with SEND students.
  • Excellent knowledge of language curricula and related topics, and the ability to research and get up to speed on other language subjects as required by EK Outreach students.
  • Able to lead and support a variety of teachers and practitioners in teaching and learning in their specific language areas.
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
