Job summary

Oasis Academy Lister Park in Bradford is seeking an experienced Alternative Provision Manager to lead our on-site provision and support vulnerable learners toward positive outcomes and reintegration where appropriate.

You will work with senior leaders, SEND professionals and families to transform life chances, manage attendance and safeguarding, and drive continuous improvement in the provision.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience working with children and young people facing significant challenges.
  • Experience of leading and developing others.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour, SEMH needs and barriers to learning.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and report-writing skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and raising aspirations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Alternative Provision as part of the pastoral team.
  • Create a nurturing, structured environment that promotes engagement, attendance and achievement.
  • Support students with SEMH through bespoke intervention programmes.
  • Deliver targeted teaching, mentoring and pastoral support to individuals and small groups.
  • Oversee attendance, safeguarding and wellbeing records and maintain systems.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, SENDCO, parents and external agencies.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support reintegration pathways and positive post-16 destinations.
