Job summary

Teaching Personnel Ltd. is recruiting enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work within an inclusive secondary school environment, supporting pupils aged 11-19 in mainstream classes and a specialist ALN provision.

This role offers rewarding opportunities to develop independence, communication and life skills, with 1:1 and small-group duties and close collaboration with teachers, therapists and support staff. Successful candidates will have experience in SEN/ALN settings; qualifications in teaching

Qualifications

• Experience in SEN/ALN support
• Teaching Assistant roles
• Care Work or Support Work background
• Residential Care or Youth Work experience beneficial
• Healthcare settings experience
• Autism support
• Behaviour support
• Mental health support
• Learning disabilities support

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Encouraging engagement, confidence and independence
• Assisting pupils with learning activities across the curriculum
• Supporting communication and social development
• Implementing behaviour and learning support strategies
• Working alongside teachers, therapists and support staff
• Assisting with personal care where required
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
