Job summary

Equalteaching seeks a compassionate ALN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 3–19 with complex needs in a specialist ALN school.

Role includes one-to-one and small-group work, personal care assistance, and promoting inclusive learning, with close collaboration with teachers and specialists. DBS check is required. Competitive daily rate and CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and caring with a flexible, positive approach.
• Team player in a specialist setting.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with ALN, SLD, PMLD, autism, and complex needs.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support tailored to individual plans.
• Assist with personal care, mobility and wellbeing when needed.
• Support sensory, communication and differentiated learning activities.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion.
• Collaborate with teachers and specialist professionals.
