Job summary

Equal Teaching is seeking a compassionate ALN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people aged 3–19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties in specialist settings.

You will work one-to-one and in small groups, assisting with personal care when needed and helping pupils access tailored development plans. A Child and Adult DBS is required for this position, with competitive daily pay and access to CPD opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with ALN or complex needs.
• Calm, patient and caring demeanor with a flexible approach.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistant to join our client school supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting pupils withSLD, PMLD, autism, physical disabilities and complex learning needs
• Providingone-to-one and small group supporttailored to individual development plans
• Occasionally assisting withpersonal care, mobility and wellbeing, ensuring dignity and safety
• Supportingsensory, communication and differentiated learning activities
• Promoting positive behaviour, emotional regulation and inclusion
• Working closely with teachers and specialist professionals

• Has experience supporting children or young people withALN or complex needs
• Is calm, patient and caring, with a flexible and positive approach
