Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking an ALN Behaviour Teacher for a Primary-focused PRU in Newport. The role is temporary, full-time, start ASAP, delivering engaging lessons while supporting pupils with ALN, ASD and SEMH needs.

You will apply strong behaviour management, adapt lessons to meet individual needs, and maintain a patient, resilient approach in a challenging environment. QTS or equivalent is required; PAYE payroll and competitive daily rates apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons to Primary-aged pupils with ALN.
• Provide consistent behaviour management across classes.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual learning and behavioural needs of pupils with ASD/SEMH.
• Support pupils in managing SEMH needs.
• Maintain patient, resilient and adaptable approach in a challenging environment.

ALN Behaviour Teacher

Location: Newport

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £175 per day

Are you a qualified ALN Behaviour Teacher with experience supporting Primary-aged pupils with additional learning needs?

Do you have experience supporting children with Autism / ASD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health / SEMH needs?

Are you confident managing challenging behaviour while creating a positive and engaging learning environment?

The PRU is looking to take on an experienced ALN Behaviour Teacher on a temporary, full-time basis, starting ASAP. The successful ALN Behaviour Teacher will work with Primary-aged pupils, delivering engaging lessons while providing consistent behaviour management and adapting their approach to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD and SEMH.

Responsibilities

• QTS or recognised equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching or supporting Primary-aged pupils with ALN
• Experience working with children with ASD and SEMH needs
• Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
• The ability to adapt teaching to meet individual learning and behavioural needs
