Job summary

Legal & General Group is seeking an ALM Reporting Actuary based in Cardiff. The role combines actuarial judgement with asset knowledge to deliver accurate ALM responses and weekly MI across Institutional Retirement Finance.

The role requires nearly to newly qualified actuary status, strong investment and reporting experience, and excellent Excel/data skills. Some travel to London is expected, with a collaborative, tech-enabled reporting focus.

Qualifications

• Nearly or newly qualified actuary with strong ALM and investment knowledge.
• Experience producing or analysing actuarial/financial reporting.
• Ability to explain movements clearly to non-specialists; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead responses to daily and ad hoc ALM requests.
• Own weekly ALM MI and explain P&L movements.
• Assess ALM impact of trades, assets, schemes and reinsurance.
• Produce concise analyses of changes and escalate unusual results.
• Turn outputs into clear stakeholder information for decision making.
• Strengthen reporting processes, controls and documentation.
• Develop automation and tech-enabled reporting solutions.
• Support system and process changes linking weekly and month-end reporting.
