Job summary

Legal & General in the UK is hiring an ALM Analyst to support daily and ad hoc ALM requests across Institutional Retirement Finance. This hands-on role suits someone who delivers dependable outputs, spots anomalies, and seeks to improve reporting processes.

You don't need to be an actuary, and candidates from finance, investments, insurance, pensions, or data-led environments are welcome. You'll run weekly ALM MI, check reasonableness, prepare concise analysis, and contribute to automation and

Qualifications

Experience delivering recurring analytical outputs to deadlines.
Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
Ability to check results for reasonableness and escalate issues.
Comfort with code, models or automated workflows.
Clear communication with colleagues across teams.

Responsibilities

Run the regular weekly ALM MI process and respond accurately to daily or ad hoc ALM requests.
Check outputs for reasonableness and escalate unusual or unexpected results.
Prepare concise analysis and commentary on key movements.
Support what-if analysis for trades, new assets, new PRT schemes and reinsurance activity.
Maintain reporting controls, methodology and process documentation.
Troubleshooting data, model and process issues with senior support.
Contributing to automation and technology-enabled reporting improvements.
Communicating delivery status, risks and issues to relevant stakeholders.
