Job summary

Nomura is seeking a technologist for its Global Execution Services algo team. The role focuses on design, development, and deployment of core algorithmic trading platforms used across global markets.

You will work closely with quants and front-office teams, delivering features and fixes in a high-velocity environment, with responsibilities spanning the project lifecycle and cross-regional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Design and development of algorithmic trading systems for equity markets.
• Hands-on experience coding and developing algorithmic trading systems in Java.
• Professionalism in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to collaborate across departments, countries, and regions.
• Demonstrates initiative and strong self-management to achieve objectives.
• Proven ability to prioritize and execute tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver new features, enhancements and bug fixes to the algo trading platform.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle from analysis to testing.
• Provide level 2 and 3 support for front-office applications when needed.
• Ensure adherence to architecture strategy and development standards.
• Liaise with business and development teams on priorities and progress.
• Assist in managing projects for new systems or upgrades.
