Job summary

Nomura Holdings, Inc. in London seeks a Software Engineer (Associate) to join Global Markets IT, delivering a global cross-asset trade processing platform. You will design, build and deploy services that capture, persist and distribute trades, and support existing GMIT systems within a London-based team.

You'll work in a global development team across time zones, using Java, Spring and modern frameworks, with exposure to messaging, databases, and AI-enabled workflows. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

• Strong Java development skills with understanding of testing, DevOps in the development cycle.
• Experience with distributed messaging technologies (JMS, Apache Pulsar, Solace).
• Experience with relational databases such as MS SQL Server.
• Knowledge of Spring, Spring Boot, and Project Reactor/Spring Webflux.
• Skills in JavaScript/React and/or Python would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of AI in development workflows and tools for Trade Processing integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy a global trade processing system in phased deliverables.
• Develop and test services for capture, persistence and distribution of trades and data.
• Provide services to other GMIT systems in real time or on-demand.
• Coordinate with Global Markets technology teams to extend capabilities across applications.
